How often do you get what you hope for in a breeding?

We were hoping En Vogue would have been a grey female, but the next best thing is a black girl!  A grey girl would have been a grand slam; black is still a home run!  En Vogue has the style, fleece, and conformation we were breeding for.

En Vogue’s sire is Principae Gris (lot # 17), our dense and fine, with amazing crimp, multiple champion grey stud!  Her dam is KV Ava, a foundation female sired by the legendary Dakota!  Some of you will remember Ava from when Brett Kaysen raved about her at the Breeder’s Seminar a few years back.  Others remember their missed opportunity to purchase her when she was still on the sales list.

En Vogue has an interesting linage for being a true black female!  She sports names like Accoyo Victor (LF, Accoyo Caligula (W), Accoyo McGwire (LRG), Peruvian King (W), Peruvian Emilio (W), and Peruvian Passport (W), and the legendary Dakota (MF).  En Vogue’s black genetics comes from distant lines on the dam side of both her parents, her amazing fleece traits come from all her light colored ancestors on her parents sire side.
